




Ravello is a town in the province of Salerno, belonging to the Amalfitan Coasts. Ravello is situated on a terrace that divides two valleys, its position has facilitated the formation of housing, also providing space to be allocated to crops. About half of its tourists are attracted mainly by its famous villas (as the Cimbrone's villa with its famous view from the Terrace of infinity and the Rufolo's villa).
The Rufolo were one of the wealthiest families and notables of Ravello. Inevitable destination of international tourism in Ravello is Villa Cimbrone. Villa Cimbrone owes its name to the hill on which stands, part of a podere called Cimbronium. To Ravello has permanent seat the European Center for Cultural Heritage, which each year organizes major conferences.
