Immediately after Maiori, north of the coastal road, stands Minor, a small town of absolute beauty
Landscaping, once fixed place of Roman emperors used to spend their summer holidays here.
In the Middle Ages its name was "Reghinna minoris" to distinguish it from "Reginna Maioris" now known, in fact, under the name
Maiori, the name linked to the proportions of the two towns.
Renowned for its production of sweets and alcohol, much less for food, Minor is ideal for
holiday relaxation, the internal streets are full of places to discover, ideal for cool summer walks.
The basilica of Santa Trofimena and certainly the main monument of the place, which comprises an impressive facade, its
interior houses a precious marble pulpit of the seventeenth century with an urn containing the remains of the Holy Trofimena, the
which is dedicated to a patron saint's day on July 13 complete with fireworks at midnight.
