Among the pearls of the Amalfi Coast, stands Conca dei Marini, a town with fewer than 1,000 inhabitants, but full of
history, tradition and natural beauty.
Once inhabited by sailors, is named for its shape, precisely, "Conca", also called "City of sailors."
The history of ancient basin is rich in events related to Roman Empire or the Republic of Amalfi.
The area most affected tourism is undoubtedly "Marina di Conca, a small bay nothing short of spectacular,
which once hosted the Kennedy or the Agnelli Legambiante reported this as one of the 11 best beaches
of Italy.
Conca is another masterpiece of the sixteenth century Torre del Capo di Conca (also known as Saracen Tower or White Tower)
built by the Viceroy of Naples "Pedro de Toledo" to defend themselves against Turkish raids. Today, this tower,
municipal property was turned into a museum.
Separate chapter deserves the "Emerald Grotto", a favorite of visitors from all over the world,
its colors, its nuances, its emerald hue are the result of alchemy generated by a submarine fissure
connecting to the open sea. In the bottom of the cave has been placed in 1956, a crib diving, consisting of statues
ceramic, and during the holiday season, groups of divers are accustomed to visit and pay homage.
